With our head office based in Christchurch and another depot in Cromwell and Tawa, we’re responsible for constructing and maintaining overhead and underground lines and equipment across these locations. Mō tēnei tūranga mahi- About the role

Reporting directly to the Design & Engineering Team Leader, the purpose of the CAD Team Lead is to guide & develop a high performing team and grow our digital capabilities, not limited but including CAD, virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D, LiDAR & more. You will be responsible for managing the present and future workload of the CAD & Digital Team and will coordinate and maintain the draughting quality across the rest of the Design and Engineering Team.

Leadership is an important function of this position, with the following areas of importance: developing high performing teams, fostering an inclusive culture, training and development, safety and quality assurance.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako-Skills /Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience and expertise with AutoCAD and other associated draughting software.
  • Relevant degree/qualification
  • Experience and expertise in 3D modelling i.e.: Revit and 3D Modelling i.e.: Inventor.
  • Proven experience leading high performing teams
  • In depth knowledge of draughting standards across a number of NZ power businesses.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Hold a current full driver’s licence.
